Forthnet is seeking for a passionate Senior Systems Engineer professional to cover the following opening in Kallithea (Athens):

The main responsibilities of the position include:

• Perform day-to-day administration, maintenance and monitoring of IT Infrastructure (Systems & Services)
• Support the installation, configuration and patching of operating systems and applications
• Participate in the design and the deployment of IT projects
• Provide 2nd & 3rd level support
• Join the 24*7 stand by (on call) team’s

 Main requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or in relevant field
• At least three (3) years of working experience in a relevant position
• Working experience in the administration of application stacks (e.g. Apache, Nginx), virtualization (VMware) and monitoring platforms (Nagios)
• Experience in automation software (e.g. Ansible, Chef ) is desirable
• Solid experience in Linux/Unix based environments (e.g. Centos, Redhat)
• Familiarity or experience in databases performance tuning (e.g. Mysql, Postgress, Mongo)
• Solid skills of at least one scripting language (e.g. shell, Perl, Python)
• Solid networking & firewalling knowledge (e.g Zoning, Access lists)
• Familiarity or experience in storage administration (e.g NetApp, IBM) will be a plus
• High amount of quality awareness, very good team-player and willingness to learn new things
• Excellent English & Greek knowledge in both oral and written
